About Us
These installation instructions are for mounting of CD
changer under passenger seat.
USA Spec CD changers are direct hook-up to factory car stereo and controlled
from face of car stereo, please see our applications
chart for your Nissan Maxima.

|
1) First, see our
Car Stereo
Removal Instructions for Nissan Maxima and follow return link. 2) Pry lower panel from door jam. |
|
|
1) Pull rubber insulator from door jam,
releasing insulator back about one foot. 2) Pry side kick panel from side of car. |
|
|
1) Under front seat at leading edge, with razor knife, cut slot into carpet and padding three to four inches long. |
|
|
1) With car stereo removed, feed supplied USA Spec CD changer cable from car stereo cavity through opening to passenger side floor. |
|
|
1) Pull back carpet along front of car and run cable along floor. |
|
|
1) Pull CD changer cable along side of door jam. |
|
|
1) Feed CD changer cable under carpet to
opening cut into carpet. *NOTE - If mounting CD changer in trunk, run cable to trunk for mounting of CD changer. |
|
|
1) Pull end of cable through cut opening. |
|
|
1) Wrap and tie remaining cable with wire tie at car stereo cavity. |
|
|
1) Place remaining tied cable into car stereo cavity, allow enough length on end of CD changer cable to plug into car stereo when reinstalled. |
|
|
1) Set suspension on CD changer for
horizontal mounting. *NOTE - For warranty purposes, all supplied dust covers must be installed! |

|
1) Install mounting brackets on each side
of CD changer. 2) Move passenger seat and back to full forward position. 3) Choose your mounting position carefully and screw four self tapping screws into mounting bracket to secure CD changer to floor of car. 4) Connect CD changer cable to previously ran CD changer cable. |
|
|
1) Check lengths of CD changer cable in car stereo cavity and connect car stereo connector to CD changer cable. |
|
|
1) Install car stereo. Hook up CD changer
cable to open connector, antenna and car stereo connectors.
