Mitsubishi Montero '00-02 Power Antenna Mast Removal and Installation Instructions NOTE - These antenna mast replacement instructions work only if antenna motor runs with car stereo turned on and off. |

1) With needle nose pliers, insert ends
into slots on bolt at top of antenna mount. *Be careful not to slip, you will scratch the paint! |

1) Loosen and remove bolt. | |
 |
1) With help, turn car stereo on, grasp antenna mast, pull straight up and remove mast and nylon cable. | |
| NOTE - Before installing new antenna mast, measure length of nylon cable against new antenna mast cable. If they match in length continue. If they do not match, antenna motor assembly requires removal and disassembly for removal of broken mast cable from antenna motor assembly. | ||

1) With new antenna mast, (purchased from
dealership $50+). 2) Insert nylon cable into opening till stop. 3) Turn car stereo off, you may need to twist antenna cable till it catches and feed into antenna motor assembly. 4) Quickly insert mast into opening and allow mast to retract. |

1) Replace antenna mast bolt and tighten. NOTE - It may take several attempts at turning car stereo on and off to get mast to seat flush.
